Summer Family Choir
Sing in the shower? Join the Summer Family Choir July 4 through August. We meet in the sanctuary at 8:15 a.m. Sunday mornings to prepare easy music for that day's worship. No Thursday night commitment. Open to all. Let's make a joyful noise to the Lord!
For more information contact Paul Ferris, director of music, pferris@trinity-pres.org, (650) 593-8226.
What Does God Expect of Us?
Is our faith just about going to church, studying the Bible, and avoiding the most serious sins – or does God expect more? Is there A Hole in Our Gospel? Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m. a group of Trinity women will study this book to discover its meaning for our lives. We will start on July 3 and meet in the Covenant Room. Come early and socialize! For information call Anita Jarvis at (650) 368-1325.
Help Needed with Sunday Coffee
We are looking for volunteers to help prepare and serve coffee in Fellowship Hall after worship. The sign-up sheet is located on the coffee service table every Sunday. Please contact Kay Mohler, (650) 592-5703. Instructions will be provided.
Do You Give by Check in the Offering Plate?
If so, you can do the counters a big favor by placing your check in an envelope with your name and giving number on it. If a check is received without an envelope, the counters must create an envelope for you, which takes additional time. The envelope is important because your check, with your name and the amount of the gift, goes to the bank and is deposited. Once the check is gone, the financial secretary still needs a record of what was given and by whom so that she can update the giving records. When checks are received without an envelope, the counters must take time to create an envelope so that the financial secretary can complete the records-keeping process. Thanks for your cooperation.
New Usher Training in August
We are looking for members interested in participating in our worship service as ushers one Sunday a month. This is a wonderful opportunity to welcome worshipers to Trinity. Pastor Josh will be leading the training session in August. Please contact Marcia McNamara at marcia.mcnamara@gmail.com, or at (650) 464-7057 for more information.
Dear Trinity Congregation
In order to address some communication opportunities at Trinity, we have formed the Contact Team. Our goals for this year include:
Updating the People Pages to be sure contact information is correct and removing names that are no longer part of our community.
Continuing our shift to electronic communication (update email addresses), while also learning who is really unable to receive electronic communications.
Creating/publishing a new Photo Directory.
Expanding the capability of our Web site to include better searchability within the site, downloadable sermons, podcasts, etc. We really need someone well versed in Web page design and new technologies to help with this. Please contact us if you are that person, or can suggest someone.
Using various means to interview as many of our congregation as possible in order to learn more about their interests, needs, and the ways they hope God is working in their lives and our community.
To that end, we will be contacting each of you multiple times during the coming months. We send you this notice so that you will not be surprised by the contact, and will have a little background on why we are contacting you.
One of our first contacts with you (besides this note) will be a “Contact” table in Fellowship Hall and the narthex after worship services every Sunday in June. We will be asking you to update your contact information in the People Pages (church directory).
Looking forward to continuing the journey with you!

Ham It up with Josh at VBS!
Each year at Vacation Bible School Pastor Josh has a great time with his cast of characters during the assembly skits. These are very simple 5-to10-minute skits that help teach the theme of the day. When? August 2 through 6 from 8:30 until 10:00 a.m. Teens and adults of all ages are welcome!
Missional Craft Supplies - VBS
As missional followers of Jesus we are challenged to focus on ways to make a difference right here in our own neighborhood. This will be especially true for the children in VBS this year as they participate in activities that do just that! You can help us by donating the following to children’s ministry by July 15.
Small bags of soil, tooth brushes, travel size tooth paste, cough drops, women’s nylons, and clean white king flat sheets. Contact Christy Martin, sczmartin@sbcglobal.net or Suzy Colton, suzycolton@yahoo.com.
Contact Kristan kverv@trinity-pres.org. for information on any of the above.
QUEST Middle School Youth Group Lock-In
August 11 is the Quest Lock-In. Start talking to friends so they can put it on their calendars. The more the merrier. And we just decided on the theme - MAFIA. We'll be having a "who done it" game throughout the night. That and so much more on August 11.
Trinity’s Coed Softball Team
Come cheer our softball families all summer long. Check out the schedule on the Children’s Ministry board next to Kristan’s office. Bring the family and a picnic and “root, root, root for the home team!”
