Alternative Gift Opportunity

Congratulations! You have been given the “gift of giving”! A donation has been made in your name and the donor would like you to choose which of eight charities supported by Trinity Presbyterian Church in San Carlos, CA should receive the donation. Some do local work in the San Francisco Bay Area and some work globally. Some of the organizations are Christian and some are secular. Please read about the work done by the eight charities and choose the charity you would like to receive the donation by completing the form at the bottom of the page and pressing “submit”.

  • crossroads: mark and ruthie stoscher

    Crossroads: Mark and Ruthie Stoscher, Erseka, Albania includes a flourishing church, Torchbearers Bible School, Summer Camps for nearly two thousand at-risk and disabled youth from all over Albania, the Foleza program for at-risk children in the local community, and the House of Hope residential program for ten children who live with the Stochers.   • GAIA (GLOBAL AIDS INTERFAITH ALLIANCE)

    GAIA (Global Aids Interfaith Alliance) works in impoverished Malawian villages, to provide basic health services, targeting prevention, care, and support in communities affected by HIV, AIDS, TB and malaria. A donation to GAIA will be used toward community health programs including HIV testing and education, nursing education, and mobile health clinics. To learn more about GAIA click here.

  • Hope House

    Hope House in Redwood City, California is a residential treatment program for women with substance abuse. You can support these at risk women as they learn valuable skills for living healthy, clean, and sober lives. Donations will be used towards their daily living expenses.   • MAF (MISSION AVIATION FELLOWSHIP)

    MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) provides disaster support through its fleet of airplanes and helicopters by transporting aid workers, medical teams, missionaries, food, and supplies to some of the hardest hit remote areas of the world.   • Puente Ministries

    Puente works with people living in rural San Mateo's south coast, offering programs in health & wellness, youth leadership, adult education, and economic security. To support social justice donations will be contributed to a fund pool specific for immigration and citizenship application fees. To learn more about Puente click here. 

  • Redwood High School

    Redwood is the continuation HS for the Sequoia Union HS District in Redwood City, California. The school doesn’t have the parental support of other high schools, so your donation bridges this gap. To support at risk high school students your donations will be sent to the Redwood High Promise Foundation for distribution. To learn more about Redwood High School click here.

  • St. Francis Center

    St. Francis Center of Redwood City, California meets the needs of the working poor in the Redwood City area by offering housing, food, clothing, and education for both children and adults. To support very low income families donations will be used for school supplies, educational materials, groceries, and diapers. To learn more about St. Francis Center click here. 

       

  • Village Enterprise

    Village Enterprise works to end extreme poverty in rural Africa through entrepreneurship and innovation. Their one year graduation programs provides entrepreneurs with seed money, training and ongoing mentoring. Entrepreneurs are organized into business savings groups that provide savings and build capital. Donations will be used to support these programs.
